About this template
Most salon diaries book the service and forget the salon. The chair still has to be swept, the colour bowl washed and the station reset, so a booking that ends at 11:00 does not free 11:00 — and a diary that says it does will sell a slot nobody can work. Serenity puts that time in the model. Every service carries its own turnaround alongside its duration, and an appointment reserves through both. A gap on the board is therefore sellable time inside the working day, not the arithmetic difference between two bookings, and the number of minutes shown on it is a number the salon can actually honour. Availability is read from shifts, not from a flag on the person. A stylist who works mornings and evenings has a split day, and a request only fits if the whole thing — service plus turnaround — falls inside one run. That is why the booking screen can offer a time with no disclaimer attached to it. **Gap review** is the assistant, and it is deliberately narrow. It is given one day: every professional, their runs, their appointments with the turnaround already accounted for, and the gaps that remain. It answers which gaps are worth the phone call and which are not — a 30-minute hole between two colour appointments is not a morning to fill, and it says so instead of listing everything. The composed instruction is shown in full before it runs, character count and all, and every layer of it is editable in the administration. Clients, services, team, time off and the booking policy are all administered inside the app; the front is a public booking site and the back is the desk.

What already works
Turnaround is reserved, not hoped for
Each service carries its own reset time beside its duration, and an appointment blocks through both. A gap on the board is time that can really be sold.
Availability comes from shifts
A split day — mornings and evenings — is a first-class case. A request fits only if service plus turnaround falls inside one run, so an offered time never carries a caveat.
Gap review answers, it does not list
The assistant is given one day and says which gaps are worth a call and which are not, instead of returning every hole it can find.
The instruction is shown, not hidden
The composed instruction appears in full before the run, with its character count, and every layer of it is editable in the administration.
A booking site and a desk
The front books; the back administers clients, services, team, time off and the booking policy — same app, two audiences.
Serenity
A salon diary where every appointment reserves the turnaround, so a gap on the board is time that can really be sold — and an assistant that says which gaps are worth a call.
