The best app builders in Brazil
The Brazilian angle changes the comparison, and not because of features. It changes because of four things that only surface after you sign: local payment, a local invoice, support in your timezone, and who owns the store accounts.
The categories that exist today
AI builders. You describe it, the platform writes the code. This is the category that changed the most in the last two years, and the feature-by-feature comparison is in the best AI app builders.
No-code assemblers. You drag blocks. They handle standard cases well, and the ceiling is the block library.
Agencies and white-label resellers. You buy a ready-made app from a catalogue with your branding. It ships fast, and the app usually belongs to the platform rather than to you.
The five questions that matter in the Brazilian market
1. Are the Google and Apple accounts in my name? The most important question, and the one fewest people ask. If they are in the supplier's name, the app is theirs. Changing supplier later means starting the listing over, losing the reviews and sometimes the app itself.
2. Can I export the code? This is what makes the choice reversible. Without export, every month invested raises the cost of changing your mind.
3. Does the app accept Pix and boleto? An international card covers part of the Brazilian audience. Pix covers nearly all of it, and it is the item most often missing from foreign tools.
4. Is there a local invoice and billing in reais? For a registered company that is an objective filter, and it removes half the options before any screen comparison.
5. Who answers when it breaks, and at what hours? Support in Portuguese during local business hours is worth more than a feature list, and the difference shows up precisely on the bad day.
What does not change anywhere
Store fees belong to the stores, not to the platform: US$ 25 once with Google and US$ 99 a year with Apple, always on your account. Any supplier offering to publish without those accounts is publishing under their own name, and that is a bigger problem than the saving.
How to decide in fifteen minutes
- does the app have to be in the stores? If not, drop everything that only exists for that;
- ask for a written answer to questions 1 and 2 above;
- try building your most awkward case on the free plan, not the easiest one;
- check Pix, invoicing and support hours;
- compare price last. At Fabapp, for instance, the free tier builds and publishes on the web with no card, and paid plans start at R$ 99 a month.
The summary
- the Brazilian angle is about local payment, invoicing, support and ownership;
- ask whose name the Google and Apple accounts are in;
- ask whether you can export the code;
- Pix is what foreign tools most often lack;
- test your hard case on the free plan before comparing price.
