Credits and plans in Motion
Who can use Motion, where the credits come from, how much each operation costs and what happens when something fails.
Who has Motion
Motion is part of every paid plan, from Starter up. An account in the trial period of a paid plan already uses Motion as usual. On Free, Motion shows a presentation screen with a button to see the plans, and no piece is created.
Where the credits come from
Motion spends the same AI credits you use to build apps: your plan's monthly quota and the credits you bought. Integration credits, which pay for the published app running, are not touched. The full story of the two currencies is in Credits.
The balance appears at the top of the Motion screens.
Fixed price, shown first
Every paid operation has a fixed price, shown on the button or in a confirmation before you click. The amount charged is exactly what was written, no more and no less.
| Operation | What the price depends on |
|---|---|
| Building the piece (Generate piece) | the AI model and the length (bands of 15, 30, 60, 90 and 120 s; a carousel pays the first) |
| Chat adjustment | the AI model that built the piece; one price per adjustment |
| Soundtrack | one price per track generated |
| Background image or product cutout | one price per image |
| Generated background video | per whole second of clip, depending on the model |
| Reading a reference video | one fixed price per reading |
| Export | per file, depending on the length (up to 15, 60, 90 or 120 s) |
What spends no credits
- editing the scenes' texts, lengths and colors and saving;
- restoring a version;
- reading the brand from the site and editing brands and items;
- using a video or music of your own;
- going back to a track you already generated;
- exporting again a format the version already has, and getting new download links.
When something fails, the credits come back
- A build or adjustment that fails: the full amount comes back. An adjustment that does not pass the check also comes back.
- Media that does not come out (image, cutout, video, soundtrack): its amount comes back.
- An export that fails: that file's amount comes back.
- A reference reading that fails: the amount comes back.
There is a limit to protect your balance: up to 3 failed builds or adjustments are refunded every 24 hours. Once you reach it, Motion stops accepting new pieces and adjustments until 24 hours have passed since the first of those failures, instead of risking a fourth one that would not be refunded. If you need it sooner, contact support.
Usage warnings
On the Create piece screen, Motion compares the piece's price with the credits your plan gives you each month:
- Moderate usage, from 4% of the month's credits in one piece;
- High usage, from 10%.
See usage by model shows the average spend of a piece by model, length, items, soundtrack and background video.
If the balance does not cover the operation, the button says Not enough credits and offers Add credits. Nothing is charged halfway.
Where to see what each piece cost
In the editor, the line "This piece cost" shows the piece's total, and the Versions menu shows the cost of each version. The full statement is in Billing, in the panel.
