Editing a piece
There are two ways to change a finished piece: edit the fields, which is free, or ask for an adjustment in the chat, which uses credits. Every saved change becomes a version, and no version is ever lost.
The editor
The piece opens with the player in the middle and the Timeline below, with one strip per scene. Click a scene to edit it and the player jumps there. On the keyboard, the space bar plays and pauses, and the arrows move from scene to scene.
On the right are three tabs for the selected scene:
- Texts: the scene's texts, length and colors;
- Media: background images and videos (see Background images and videos);
- Soundtrack: music and sound effects (see Music and sound effects).
Free changes: the fields
On the Texts tab, each scene shows the fields it uses: Title, Line above the title, Caption, Button text and others, depending on the scene. In multi-line fields, Enter starts a new line.
You can also change:
- the scene's Length, with a minimum: the time it takes to read the text;
- the scene's colors (Main, Accent, Background, Text or a Custom color).
Click Save to keep it. The change becomes a new version, marked "edited by you", and costs nothing. If you leave without saving, Motion asks before discarding.
Some fields show up locked, with the reason next to them:
- the price comes from the item and is not typed. To change it, edit the item in the brand or in the app;
- what comes from the brand (name, logo) is changed in the brand;
- what comes from the piece's data is changed with a chat adjustment.
Chat adjustment
For what a field cannot solve, like pace, scene order or a new element, use the Ask for a change box.
Faster opening and a QR code at the end.
With a scene selected, the adjustment applies only to that scene. To change the whole piece, click Ask for the whole piece instead. You can attach images or files to the request, just like when creating.
The Adjust button shows the price first. It is a fixed price per adjustment, set by the same AI model that built the piece. The adjustment takes up to 1 minute and becomes a new version. Right after, Undo goes back to the previous version.
If the result does not pass the automatic check, the current version stays as it was and the credits come back.
Versions
The Versions menu, in the editor's top bar, lists every version of the piece, with where each one came from (generated, adjusted by chat, edited by you or restored) and how much it cost.
Restore version creates a new version from the chosen one. Nothing is lost, so you can restore, dislike it and come back. Restoring costs no credits.
In the library
In each piece's menu, under Motion, you find Open, Duplicate, Rename and Delete. Duplicating is the way to test a variation without touching the original.
